Food & beverage
Food Grade Flooring for GTA Kitchens & Plants
Food and beverage floors face hot water washdowns, fats, acids, sugars and thermal shock every day. Hardbond installs seamless urethane and epoxy systems with integral cove base, so there are no joints or seams for bacteria to hide in and the floor cleans in one pass.
Zone by zone
Food plant floors that pass inspection
Wet, hot and dry areas need different systems. Here is how a food facility is usually split. Read urethane cement vs epoxy for food plants.
Processing & washdown
Urethane cement for hot water, steam cleaning, fats, sugars and food acids.
Drains & cove
Floors sloped to drains with integral cove base, so nothing pools and corners clean easily.
Coolers & freezers
Cold-rated systems that handle thermal shock and condensation. See cold storage flooring.
Dry storage & packaging
Seamless epoxy in dry areas, where it costs less, with slip resistance where it is needed.
What food facilities need
Built for washdowns and inspections
Urethane cement, typically ¼″ to ⅜″ thick, is the standard for wet processing, commercial kitchens and freezers because it handles the thermal shock that cracks ordinary epoxy. Epoxy with a slip-resistant topcoat suits dry storage and packaging.
Seamless & coved
Integral cove base runs up the wall so there are no corners or joints to trap residue.
Thermal shock
Handles hot water, steam cleaning and freezer temperatures without cracking or lifting.
Chemical resistant
Resists lactic and citric acids, fats, sugars, blood and sanitizers used in daily cleaning.
Slip resistant
Textured finishes for wet areas, with floors sloped to drains where the room needs it.
Inspection ready
Floors your auditors will sign off on
We install seamless, washable, non-absorbent systems designed for food environments, and supply the product data sheets your inspector and food safety auditor will ask for.

Commercial epoxy starts at $2.75 per sq ft and concrete polishing at $2.50 per sq ft, with standard surface preparation included. Final pricing depends on the system, slab condition and size of the area, and extensive repairs are quoted separately. Every quote is fixed and in writing after a free site assessment.

Yes. We phase large floors in sections and schedule nights and weekends so your team keeps working.
-
We install seamless, washable, non-absorbent systems with cove base that are designed for food environments, and we provide product data sheets for your inspector and auditors.
-
Hot water washdowns and freezer doors cause thermal shock that can crack or debond ordinary epoxy. Urethane cement flexes with those temperature swings and holds up to food acids and fats.
