Commercial & industrial floor coatings
Commercial Epoxy Flooring in Toronto
Hardbond installs seamless epoxy floor systems for warehouses, showrooms, production areas and commercial spaces across Toronto and the GTA. Every project starts with a free site assessment and ends with a written warranty, and in between your facility team knows exactly what is going down, how thick, and when the floor is back in service.
Epoxy at a glance
Matched to the traffic, specified in writing
Typical builds and timings for commercial epoxy. Your quote names the exact system and thickness; see the epoxy flooring cost guide for pricing.
Roll-coat systems
About 10 to 20 mils. Dust-proofing and light traffic: storage rooms, back-of-house, light assembly.
High-build systems
About 20 to 40 mils in multiple coats. Forklift lanes, plants and busy commercial floors, often with a polyurethane topcoat.
Self-levelling & broadcast
1/8 inch and up. Heavy impact, uneven slabs and slip resistance with quartz or flake broadcast.
Return to service
Typically foot traffic in about 24 hours, vehicles in 48 to 72 hours, full chemical cure in about 7 days. Need it faster? See polyaspartic.
Why epoxy
What a commercial epoxy floor does for your facility
Epoxy seals bare concrete into one seamless, washable surface. Typical builds run 10–30 mils, with light foot traffic in about 24 hours and vehicle traffic in 3 to 7 days.
Stops dusting
Seals bare concrete so it stops shedding dust onto stock, equipment and people.
Takes heavy traffic
Stands up to forklifts, pallet jacks, dropped tools and daily scrubbing.
Resists chemicals
Holds up to oil, fuel, road salt and most cleaning chemicals, and wipes clean.
Brighter and safer
Light colours reflect overhead lighting, and line striping and safety zones go right into the coating.
Surface preparation
Why prep decides how long the floor lasts
Most epoxy failures, like peeling, bubbling and delamination, trace back to preparation, not the coating. We diamond-grind every slab to open the concrete, repair cracks and joints, and check moisture before the first coat goes down.
That step is in every Hardbond quote, never an add-on.

Questions
Before you call
Straight answers to what facility managers ask us most.
-
Commercial epoxy starts at $2.75 per sq ft and concrete polishing at $2.50 per sq ft, with standard surface preparation included. Final pricing depends on the system, slab condition and size of the area, and extensive repairs are quoted separately. Every quote is fixed and in writing after a free site assessment.
-
Yes. We phase large floors in sections and schedule nights and weekends so your team keeps working.
-
A properly installed commercial system typically lasts 10 years or more under daily traffic, longer with a urethane topcoat and routine cleaning. Recoating the top layer extends it further.
-
A smooth gloss finish can be slippery when wet. For wet or oily areas we broadcast an aggregate into the topcoat for grip, and we can mark walkways and hazard zones in the coating.

Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham and Oakville. Larger projects elsewhere in Ontario are quoted case by case.
