Floor repair
Concrete Joint Filling & Repair in Toronto
Open control joints are where warehouse floors fail first. Forklift wheels hammer the unsupported edges until they chip and spall, which damages equipment and slows traffic. Hardbond fills and repairs joints with semi-rigid polyurea so the edges are supported and the floor rides smooth.
Joint filling at a glance
The cheapest way to protect a warehouse floor
Open control joints are where forklift damage starts. Here is how they are filled, and when.
Semi-rigid polyurea
Hard enough to support forklift wheels, flexible enough to move a little with the slab. Fast cure, so lanes reopen quickly.
Epoxy joint fillers
Rigid fillers for joints that no longer move, often used in older, fully cured slabs.
Timing matters
Slabs shrink as they cure. Joints are best filled once the slab has stopped moving, then topped up if gaps open.
Before a coating or polish
Filled joints keep a new epoxy floor or polished concrete from chipping along every line. Broken edges get spall repair first.
Why joints fail
Support the edges before they break
Joint filling is one of the cheapest ways to extend the life of a warehouse floor and cut forklift maintenance.
Semi-rigid polyurea
Fills joints flush with the floor so hard wheels roll across instead of hitting an edge.
Spall repair
Broken joint edges are saw-cut, rebuilt with repair mortar and refilled.
Fast return
Fast-cure fillers mean most areas reopen to forklift traffic the same day.
Before coating
Done as part of a coating or polishing project, or on its own as maintenance.

Commercial epoxy starts at $2.75 per sq ft and concrete polishing at $2.50 per sq ft, with standard surface preparation included. Final pricing depends on the system, slab condition and size of the area, and extensive repairs are quoted separately. Every quote is fixed and in writing after a free site assessment.
-
Yes. We phase large floors in sections and schedule nights and weekends so your team keeps working.
-
Soft caulk lets wheels drop into the joint and does not support the edges. Semi-rigid polyurea fills the joint flush and carries the load, which is what stops spalling.
-
Most fast-cure polyurea joint fillers take forklift traffic within hours. Your written schedule lists exact return-to-service times for each section.
