Chemical resistance
Chemical-Resistant Floor Coatings in Toronto
Acids, solvents, caustics, oils and cleaning chemicals eat through bare concrete and ordinary coatings. Hardbond installs chemical-resistant epoxy and urethane cement systems for manufacturing plants, labs, battery charging rooms, food processing and containment areas across Toronto, the GTA and Ontario.
Matched to the chemical
Tell us what spills, we spec the floor
No single coating resists everything. We match the resin to the chemicals, concentration and temperature on your floor.
Acids
Battery rooms, food acids and plating lines need novolac epoxy or urethane cement.
Caustics & cleaners
Daily sanitizers in food plants and labs.
Oils & fuels
Hydraulic fluid, brake fluid and gas in auto shops and plants.
Solvents
Print shops and manufacturing need high-crosslink systems. See industrial coatings.
Matched to the chemicals
Specified against what actually hits your floor
No single coating resists everything. We ask which chemicals, at what concentration and temperature, and how long they sit, then specify a system rated for them.
High-performance epoxy
Dense, non-porous epoxy systems for oils, fuels, many acids and cleaning chemicals.
Urethane cement
For hot washdowns, food acids, thermal shock and aggressive cleaning in food and beverage plants.
Secondary containment
Coated pits, curbs and bund areas around tanks and drums to contain spills.
Battery & charging rooms
Acid-resistant floors for forklift battery charging areas, with optional ESD where required.
Prep makes the difference
Contaminated slabs prepared properly
Chemical-soaked concrete is ground or blasted back to a sound surface before anything goes down, so the new system bonds. See manufacturing flooring, pharma and lab flooring, urethane cement and ESD flooring.

Yes. We phase large floors in sections and schedule nights and weekends so your team keeps working.

It depends on the chemical. Some systems excel with acids, others with solvents or hot washdowns. Send us your chemical list and we will recommend a system rated for it.
