Pricing guide
Commercial Epoxy Flooring Cost in Toronto
Commercial epoxy flooring in the GTA starts at $2.75 per square foot installed, with standard surface preparation included. Where your floor lands depends on the slab, the system and the schedule. Here is what drives the price, and how to get a fixed number for your space.
What drives the price
Four things that move your quote
Commercial epoxy starts at $2.75 per sq ft with standard prep included. These factors decide where your floor lands in the $2.75 to $5.00 range.
Slab condition
Cracks, spalls, old coatings and moisture add prep. See floor repair and moisture mitigation.
System & thickness
A 2-coat epoxy costs less than urethane cement or a full flake broadcast.
Size & layout
Larger open areas cost less per sq ft. Small rooms, columns and cove base add labour.
Schedule
Weekend installs are available, and overnight work by arrangement, to keep you operating.
What drives the price
Four things that set your cost per square foot
A written Hardbond quote breaks each of these out, so you can compare contractors line by line instead of just the bottom number.
Slab condition
Cracks, spalls, old coatings and moisture all add prep time. A clean, sound slab costs the least to coat.
System & thickness
A thin-film sealer, a 10–30 mil high-build epoxy and a ¼″ urethane cement are very different products and prices.
Area & access
Larger floors cost less per square foot. Racking, equipment and tight access add crew time.
Schedule
Night, weekend and phased installs, or fast-cure products to cut downtime, change labour and material costs.
What affects the price
From $2.75 per sq ft, depending on the system
Thin-film epoxy and sealers sit at the lower end. High-build epoxy, polyurethane topcoats, decorative flake and heavy-duty urethane cement cost more because they use more material and labour. Extensive repairs, moisture mitigation and specialized preparation are assessed separately. Concrete polishing starts at $2.50 per sq ft; see our concrete polishing cost guide.

Yes. We phase large floors in sections and schedule nights and weekends so your team keeps working.

Quotes differ mostly in surface prep and thickness. A low quote often skips diamond grinding or uses a thin coat that wears through in high-traffic lanes. Ask every contractor for the system, mil thickness and prep method in writing.
-
There is no fixed minimum. Every project is evaluated individually. Small areas cost more per square foot because grinding equipment, setup and crew time are largely fixed.
